The Graduate Students for Historical Development pursue the growth of a greater academic community for graduate students in the Department of History at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. We strive to cultivate a social network of history graduate students who, through the appropriate forums, encourage free thought, peer editions and recommendations, and ongoing professionalism in the discipline of history and related studies.

The GSHD aims to bring students and faculty together in the hope of promoting greater interest in the field of history. We welcome full and part-time graduate students and encourage the interest and participation of undergraduates in all of our events and meetings.
